Welcome to my blogsite!

Thank you for visiting!

This site is a combination of my past flash site and my blog. Here you will see portrait session sneak peeks, updates & specials, and occasionally pictures of my family. Across the top menu you will be able to access galleries, my calendar, the client proofing section, and more. Check back often, you never know what I will post that you might be interested in!

I am currently booking for April 2010 and beyond! Only a limited number of sessions are scheduled each month so contact me as soon as possible.

Have you noticed?

This blog is now viewable in mobile format for those of you with an iPhone, iPod touch, Andriod, or Blackberry Storm.  You can view a list of my blog posts and choose which one you would like to view, instead of waiting for the whole front page of my blog to load.  It’s a much faster & cleaner experience.

If you decide that the mobile format is not what you like, it can be easily changed back to the full view format under the posts shown on your mobile device.

I’m working on a custom icon, then you’ll be able to add it to your list like an app.

Pretty neat, huh.  Do you want to add this feature to your blog?  The WordPress Plugin is called WPtouch.  Read more about it here.

Seven on Sunday

Posted on March 8, 2010

A day late, sorry!  I wasn’t expecting to be so drawn into watching the Oscars last night.

1.  THANK YOU to the 16 people who have commented on my blog so far this year!  It means so much to see comments from readers and to be able to check out your blogs and leave you some love too.

2.  New clients- if you were referred to me by someone please include their name when booking your session.  A current client receives a $25 print credit for each new client they refer.

3.

4.  The office will be closed the week of March 15th.  I will have limited access to email & phone but will try my best to respond to any inquiries, emails, or voice mails you have.  If I don’t get back to you during the week you’ll hear from me over the weekend.

5.  Susie, thanks for the for telling me about your son chewing objects.  It really made me feel better to know that this might be a vitamin deficiency. We have an appointment with our doctor to check for anemia.  I’ll let you know what we find out.

6. Even with the overcast this weekend the 50-60 degree temperatures were lovely.  This was our first time seeing the fire lit around the Keeper.  Hope you had some time to get out and enjoy it too!

7.  Do you Tweet?  I do.  When someone follows you on Twitter, you receive a little email blurb about them and that they are following you.  I received this one earlier this week and had to giggle & call my Sister so we could ponder why this person (and now his wife, too) would want to follow me on Twitter.

Do you watch The Hills?  I do but mainly for the Spencer drama, maybe he knows. LOL  It’s not the same without LC though.

If you use Twitter let me know your username and I’ll follow you.

Seven on Sunday + A New Product Showcase

Posted on February 28, 2010

1.  Yesterday I gave you a little teaser of this product. I have added these mini accordion albums to my product list!

mini accordion albums 1

The accordion albums come in packs of 3 (identical), are 3×3 in size, and are magnetic.  All pages are printed on an art watercolor paper, which has a bit of texture.  For details and pricing, please contact me at info@sarahshahportraits.com.

2.  How much are you loving this warm, sunny mid-40 degree weather?  Bring on this Spring warmth and portrait sessions!  I’m ready to break out of my winter hibernation and be busy again.

3.  Have a general photography or random question? Ask me here.

4.  I need your help.  Seema is almost 3 and is going through this biting stage.  She doesn’t bite people instead she bites things.  Books are her favorite, followed by bath toys, shirt sleeves, and other things.  She’s like a teething 6-9 month old but without all the drool.  Any suggestions on why she’s doing this?

5.  Are you taking a spring break or summer holiday anywhere?  Tell me about it!  We love traveling & dreaming up travel spots, and would love to live vicariously through you.  Just started planning our little summer getaway this past week.  Can’t wait to share more later.

6. Layla Grace is a strong 22 month old girl.  She is beautiful but needs your prayers.  Layla Grace has terminal cancer and not much longer to live.  Read her story here.

7. Lately it’s very rare that I get Seema to look in the direction of the camera, let alone smile in its presence.
